Learn about the artist
Growing up in rural Eden, New York, surrounded by the beauty of nature, I gravitated towards art from a young age. The details provided me solace, and I’d oftentimes drift into my own world, fixated on how to replicate such wonder. That interest in visual pursuits has only increased over time, and I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family that has always encouraged my endeavor.
My life path led me to SUNY Fredonia, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts and New Media, with a specialization in Drawing and Painting. My educational and self-driven foundations have exposed me to diverse experiences across various artistic mediums. I even gained insights into the instructional process and the dynamics of student collaboration through serving as a Teaching Assistant for both an upper-level life drawing course, as well as for a course dedicated to drawing and painting.
Moreover, I had the privilege of being selected for a cross-departmental project, where I collaborated with the student sciences to explore the intriguing properties of Blueschist rocks, supported by the Costello Grant. This endeavor not only deepened my understanding of interdisciplinary approaches within my field but also emphasized the significance of collaborative exploration in artistic research.
In addition to my academic experiences, I have further honed my teaching skills through participation in an online after-school program known as Rocket Club, along with offering private tutoring sessions.
Now, through my commission work and live wedding paintings, I’m exploring how I can further share my expertise with others. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in such wonderful and precious moments. Being able to add to these sentiments with the skills I’ve practiced throughout my life is always such an incredible experience!
